Children with special needs are children who experience special limitations or advantages, both physically, mentally, intellectually, socially and emotionally, which have an effect on the process of growth and development when compared to other children according to their suit.

According to WHO (World Health Organization), life skills are the ability to behave in an adaptive and positive manner that enables a person to solve daily needs and challenges effectively.

Life skills or vocational skill are very important needed by someone in life as knowledge and ability to be able to be independent in life, especially for children with special needs. 

Life skills activities for children with special needs can be given from an early age according to the child's age level. 

The goal of children with special needs to be given life skills from an early age is so that later they will be able to meet basic/ basic needs related to ADL (Activity Daily Living), communication and also self-development so that later they are able to be independent and efficient in society.
